Automotive Sales Professional

We're seeking an experienced automotive sales professional to drive growth of our Connected Vehicle Platform (AMS) within Michigan's automotive ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to own new business development across GM, Ford, and Stellantis while serving as the primary relationship owner for our Volkswagen Group of America account. You'll be the face of Aeris within the Big 3, building executive-level relationships and driving multi-million dollar opportunities in the connected vehicle space.

This is an individual contributor role perfect for a seasoned automotive sales professional who thrives on new business acquisition and complex, long-cycle enterprise sales. You'll leverage your existing automotive industry network while building new relationships to establish Aeris as the preferred connected vehicle platform partner.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

• Own and drive new business acquisition of the AMS platform across GM, Ford, and Stellantis
• Build and manage qualified pipeline through disciplined, self-directed prospecting
• Lead end-to-end sales cycles from initial outreach through contract close

Account Management

• Serve as primary relationship owner for Volkswagen Group of America account
• Develop and execute account growth plans, manage renewals, and drive upsell opportunities
• Maintain executive-level relationships and serve as primary Aeris point of contact

Market Presence & Relationship Building

• Build and maintain VP/executive-level relationships across target OEM accounts
• Represent Aeris at automotive industry events and OEM forums
• Act as internal voice of automotive OEM customers to inform product and go-to-market strategy

Sales Operations & Forecasting

• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in CRM systems
• Deliver regular pipeline reviews to sales leadership
• Develop and execute comprehensive account and territory plans

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success teams
• Shape technical proposals and structure commercial agreements
• Ensure smooth deal execution and post-sale account health

Qualifications

Experience selling complex B2B solutions into automotive OEMs or Tier 1 automotive suppliers, with focus on connectivity, IoT, telematics, eSIM, or SaaS platforms

Track record of new business acquisition with personal contribution to closing large enterprise deals

Experience navigating OEM procurement processes, RFI/RFP cycles, and multi-year vendor qualification

Active personal network within Big 3 and/or VW NA across procurement, engineering, IT, or connected vehicle functions

Capability to engage credibly at VP/executive level as peer to senior OEM stakeholders

Technical fluency in connected vehicle, eSIM, telematics, or IoT platforms

Proven ability to operate independently in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may also be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The salary range for this role is $225,000 base salary with 20% bonus potential. Aeris also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
