Job description

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated House Lead to join our AEDD Waiver team. This position plays an important role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities while helping maintain a safe, positive, and structured home environment.

The House Lead will assist with daily operations of the home, provide direct support to participants, help supervise staff during assigned shifts, and ensure quality care and compliance with agency policies. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with activities of daily living, documenting medications, scheduling support, maintaining records, communicating with families and team members, and helping to create a supportive and respectful atmosphere for both staff and residents.

Ideal candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a passion for helping others. Experience in caregiving, group homes, or developmental disability services is preferred but not required.

Schedule: M-F 4:00 PM- 11:00 AM

QualificationsEducation and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Five (5) years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Valid Arkansas Driver's License
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance, as required
Safety Sensitive Position

This position is classified as safety sensitive due to operating a motor vehicle as part of job duties. Employees in safety sensitive positions must not report to work impaired by alcohol or drugs. Employees are prohibited from testing positive for substances listed under the Federal Controlled Substances Act and the Arkansas Uniform Controlled Substances Act, regardless of medical marijuana registry status, in accordance with Arkansas law and AEDD policy.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand and frequently use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Duties may also require walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment is moderately noisy and includes travel by automobile with exposure to changing weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day; however, occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
