Job description

Director, Strategic Growth

Department: Sales

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: US (Remote)

Reporting To: Regional Vice President (RVP)

Description

The Director, Strategic Growth is a field-based commercial leader responsible for accelerating regional growth across Advita Ortho's Shoulder and Foot & Ankle businesses. Reporting to the RVP, this role leads GPS technology adoption, ASC business development, competitive surgeon conversions, and new account activation. The position partners with distributors and cross-functional teams to create repeatable growth strategies, expand surgeon and facility relationships, and deliver incremental revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead regional growth strategies for GPS technology, ASCs, surgeon conversion, and new market development.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value Shoulder and Foot & Ankle surgeons, ASCs, health systems, and competitive accounts.
  • Develop surgeon- and account-specific conversion plans that address clinical, operational, technology, and economic needs.
  • Coordinate GPS demonstrations, evaluations, education, training, initial cases, and implementation support.
  • Build GPS adoption and utilization by developing surgeon advocates, monitoring results, and addressing barriers to growth.
  • Create and manage a pipeline of ASC opportunities from target identification through activation and expansion.
  • Develop relationships with surgeons, ASC administrators, service-line leaders, and other key decision-makers.
  • Position Advita Ortho as a differentiated technology and value partner in the ASC environment.
  • Activate new representatives and territories by establishing target accounts, training plans, initial case pipelines, and early adoption goals.
  • Partner with distributors on focused GPS and ASC growth strategies while maintaining strategic, rather than day-to-day, oversight.
  • Identify scalable partnerships with multi-site ASC groups and opportunities to expand or standardize Advita Ortho technology across facilities.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Finance to support strategic opportunities and share market intelligence.
  • Track regional performance and develop repeatable playbooks that improve new account activation, utilization, and sustainable growth.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years proven orthopedic medical device sales or business development experience, with strong knowledge of Shoulder and/or Foot & Ankle.
  • Demonstrated success developing new accounts, converting competitive surgeons, and launching new products or markets.
  • Experience with enabling technology, GPS/navigation, ASCs, ambulatory care settings, or independent orthopedic distributors strongly preferred.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong understanding of ASC economics, workflows, and decision-making.
  • Ability to translate technology into clear clinical, operational, and economic value.
  • Executive-level communication, relationship building, strategic selling, and opportunity management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, persistent, and accountable for measurable results.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
