Position Overview

Adventist Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This full-time, remote position is ideal for professionals who are committed to enhancing the lives of clients through effective mental health therapies. We aim to empower individuals and families by providing access to quality care, support, and guidance.

About the Organization

At Adventist Behavioral Health, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of mental health services. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where individuals can achieve personal growth and emotional resilience. We cater to a diverse clientele, focusing on those with limited access to traditional mental health resources. By employing a team of devoted professionals, including counselors, psychologists, and social workers, we strive to address a wide range of mental health issues with empathy and expertise.

Work Environment

The work setting at Adventist Behavioral Health is remote, allowing our LPCs to balance their professional responsibilities with their personal lives effectively. Our outpatient office model enables counselors to connect with clients across various backgrounds, enriching their practice while ensuring that therapy continues to be accessible and convenient. We offer a supportive team environment, where collaboration among counselors and interdisciplinary teams enhances the quality of care provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments to develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to client needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy with clients.
  • Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions, offering clients opportunities to learn from shared experiences and coping strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical records while complying with legal and ethical standards in mental health care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care, advocating for necessary resources and referrals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development workshops to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our LPCs work with a diverse population encompassing individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use issues. We prioritize accessibility for clients who might otherwise face barriers to receiving mental health care, and we commit to offering our services in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in direct counseling, ideally within a clinical or community setting.
  • A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
  • Previous experience collaborating within a healthcare team and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload capacity.
  • Eligibility for dental, vision, and health insurance plans to promote overall well-being.
  • Access to malpractice insurance to ensure professional security.
  • Receive numerous client referrals to help build and sustain your caseload seamlessly.
  • Leverage administrative support for billing and documentation, allowing counselors to focus more on client care.

We provide opportunities for advancement within the organization through leadership training and specialized workshops. As you develop your skills and expertise, you will have the chance to take on additional responsibilities or specialize in particular areas of interest within mental health.
