Pediatric Hospitalist Position AdventHealth Winter Garden
Overview
AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn care to join our team at the new AdventHealth Winter Garden, located in Winter Garden, Florida (west of Orlando).
  • Schedule would consist of both restricted (in hospital) and unrestricted 24-hour call (from home) resulting in approximately 12 shifts per month.
  • Well newborn care admissions, daily rounds, and discharges
  • High risk delivery attendance and newborn stabilization
  • Newborn coordination of transfers to higher level of care as indicated
  • ED pediatric consults
  • Pediatric patient care within Pediatric Observation Unit

Our pediatric hospitalist team consists of over 80 physicians and APP's that help provide care to 11 locations across our network.
Our program at AdventHealth for Children is recognized as one of the top Children's Hospital in the state of Florida. Additionally, for the last 3 years in a row, AdventHealth has received recognition for Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. The Level 4 NICU in Orlando has over 100 NICU beds with access to all major medical/surgical pediatric subspecialties.

Practice Description
This is an employment opportunity through AdventHealth Medical Group, a 900+ physician[CH1] , multi-specialty organization. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth. AdventHealth for Children Description
Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children's hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 35 pediatric ICU beds with 15 dedicated PCICU beds, a 102 bed level 4 NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region's only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 in total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals [CH3] across the state with one children's hospital at the center totals over 15,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.

AdventHealth Winter Garden, a part of AdventHealth Orlando, opened in 2016 as a state-of-the-art emergency facility featuring board-certified physicians trained in the care of both adults and children. AdventHealth Winter Garden opened its new inpatient tower in May 2022, a $229.5 million expansion which brings critical services to the fast-growing West Orange community. The new tower provides 80 private rooms and space for new services, including orthopedics, advanced gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general and robotic surgery, neurology, spine health, colorectal and urology.
