Job Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Compensation: Starting base salary up to $125,000 paid bi-weekly; following 6 months of employment transition to up to 55% of net collections; (Estimated annual earning potential of up to $175,000 w/ benefits)
Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, Exempt (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Location: Hybrid position based out of Canton, OH (75% in office, 25% remote)

Role Summary

At ARC Psychiatry, the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment in an outpatient setting, working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model. Success in this role is demonstrated through safe prescribing practices, strong patient engagement, and close collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model

Requirements:PMHNP Required Qualifications
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided
  • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances;
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred
  • Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures
  • Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy
  • Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations
PMHNP Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience treating diverse age groups
  • Comfort with telepsychiatry
  • Knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols
