Job Description: GENERAL SUMMARYThe Housekeeping Department handles the day-to-day upkeep of the property’s common and public areas which includes, but is not limited to bath and shower houses, laundry rooms, Recreation Room, retail store, etc. The Housekeeping Team Members, like all Team Members, plays an important role in ensuring a positive first and lasting impression through exceptional customer service.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESDuties include, but are not limited to:Work closely with the Front Office Supervisor for scheduling and task management creation for the housekeeping department.Monitors inventory, ordering supplies as needed and as approved.Trains all staff and new hires in housekeeping tasks, use of software and report generation.Supervises housekeeping staff members with guidance of Front Office Supervisor/Manager.Clean bath and shower houses, laundry facilities, recreation room, and other areas as directed by management, such as retail store.Clean cabins and rentals to prepare for new guests. Keep common areas clean and maintain them to AOS standards.Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.Provide assistance to the maintenance staff and other staff members as needed and directed by management.Report any maintenance concerns for repair in common areas, cabins, Recreation room, etc.Assist with clean-up at community and resident activities and functions on the property.Maintain open communication with management.Maintain a clean and professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, management and co-workers.Follow and adhere to all standard operating procedures.Generate reports as directed by management. Keep clean and orderly work areas.JOB REQUIREMENTSRelated Skills:Must be able to read and speak English.Excellent communication skills.Time management and leadership skills.Ability to lift 40 lbs or more using proper lifting techniques.Ability to change activities frequently and cope with interruptions.Ability to use cleaning equipment properly, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, dusters, etc.Use of common cleaning agents.Complete all assigned responsibilities, tasks, reports, projects etc. in a professional manner and on an on-time basis. Be available for work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.Demonstrate good personal control and judgment under normal and stressful conditions.
