The CNC Multi Axis Lathe Setup/Programmer plays a critical role in machining both standard production parts and custom prototypes. As part of a team, this role involves setting up CNC machines, developing efficient programs, ensuring product quality, and maintaining equipment through routine maintenance. Precision and attention to detail are essential to successfully interpret blueprints and select appropriate tools while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Setup CNC multi-axis lathe machines for production runs
• Develop and optimize CNC programs using G-code
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately
• Select and prepare appropriate cutting tools
• Monitor production processes to maintain efficiency and quality
• Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation related to setups and production

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in CNC programming and multi-axis lathe operation
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming
• Experienced in machine setup and calibration
• Skilled in blueprint reading and precision measurement
• Ability to perform machine maintenance and solve problems
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork skills
