Role Description The Dental Laboratory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, responsible for overseeing daily operations in the dental lab. This role involves planning and coordinating production schedules, supervising laboratory technicians, and ensuring that all dental appliances, including dentures and other prosthetics, are fabricated to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The manager will monitor workflow, manage inventory and equipment maintenance, and implement standardized procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce remakes. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with dentists and clients to clarify case requirements, addressing technical queries, and maintaining accurate records and documentation for all cases. The role also includes training and mentoring staff, supporting continuous skills development, and contributing to process improvements that enhance turnaround time and product quality.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Dental Technology and applied Dentistry, including knowledge of materials, prosthetic design, and fabrication techniques.
• Proficient Laboratory Skills, with hands-on experience in dental lab workflows, equipment operation, and quality control procedures.
• Experience working with Dentures and other removable prosthetics, including setup, finishing, and adjustments.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with dentists, clients, and internal teams, and for providing clear instructions to laboratory staff.
• Previous experience in a dental laboratory leadership or supervisory role, with proven ability to manage schedules, workload, and staffing.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to consistent quality standards.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements applicable to dental laboratory environments.
• Associate degree, certification, or formal training in dental technology or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
