Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for senior clients to evaluate their mental, emotional, and cognitive status, tailored to their specific needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to address common emotional challenges faced by seniors, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues related to aging.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to devise and implement personalized care plans that promote the overall well-being of our clients.
• Provide education and resources to family members and caregivers on fostering emotional health and understanding the psychological impacts of aging.
• Deliver specialized grief and loss therapy to clients and their families facing end-of-life issues or significant bereavement.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and cognitive stimulation strategies to enhance mental acuity and resilience in the elderly population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on senior clients, who often navigate complex emotional landscapes due to factors like bereavement, chronic health conditions, and significant life changes. We emphasize culturally competent care, catering to a diverse clientele and addressing their unique experiences and needs through tailored therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• Minimum of four years of professional experience in mental health counseling, specifically focused on geriatric populations.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing evidence-based practices effective for elderly clients.
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to develop personalized treatment plans based on client assessments.

Preferred Experience

• Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health and age-related counseling.
• Experience in delivering therapy via telehealth platforms.

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with senior clients and their families.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
