Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies for clients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to groups, families, couples, and individuals.
• Utilize a variety of tailored therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain current with advancements in mental health research and therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals and families in the Fernley area, many of whom may have limited access to mental health services. Your clients may be dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relational challenges. Your empathetic and skilled approach will be crucial in fostering a safe environment for clients to address their concerns and work towards achievable goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health counseling.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software and associated technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance use, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Experience in a community mental health setting that emphasizes accessibility for underserved populations.

Compensation and Benefits

Adelphi Healthcare Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
