Now Hiring! Supportive Housing Specialist

We are seeking compassionate and driven individuals to join our HEART (Homeless Engagement and Retention in Tenancy) team as we offer permanent supportive housing and support services to individuals who have experienced long-term homelessness.

What's In It for You:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours. (Rotating after-hours, on-call responsibilities should be expected.)

Salary Range: $21.50/hr.

Location: This is an on-site position in Tampa, FL. that includes travelling to client residence at scattered site housing around the greater Tampa Bay area.

What You'll be Doing:

• Complete comprehensive assessments of all households assisted and develop a service plan to address the supported needs to achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.
• Coordinate with landlords to ensure timely inspections at admission to program, annual re-certification and condition of unit inspections meet contractual standards.
• Perform program orientations to educate and inform applicants of program requirements and responsibilities.
• Assists clients with developing money management strategies for appropriate budgeting.
• Serves as an advocate and provides access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement or education.
• Other duties as assigned.

What is Required:

• Bachelors' degree- human services or related field.
• Prior experience working with chronically homeless individuals is preferred.
• A valid Florida Drivers' License, industry accepted driving history and maintain vehicle insurance required by State of Florida. Regular daytime travel is required.
• Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law.
