Description:

The shipping & receiving person is a crucial position in keeping the warehouse organized, materials accounted for, and assuring projects are delivered promptly. The shipping & receiving person is dependable, highly organized, keeps accurate records, develops processes to ensure in-coming/outgoing projects are exact, while maintaining organized paperwork given to the office in a timely manner.

This position is important to the success of Action Group by assisting in reducing loss, and the unnecessary purchase of additional products, keeping material storage areas clean, organized and free of potential safety hazards. The position also supports high customer satisfaction by monitoring projects ensuring projects are leaving the warehouse accurately and on-time.

Requirements:

- Ability to work    Monday – Thurs, 5 am to 3:30 pm, or flexible for Friday

- 2+ year of warehouse experience

- Experience with packaging product securely and effectively to minimize breakage

- Experience/knowledge with loading/unloading trucks and securing load for delivery

- Ability to routinely lift 50lbs or more

- Above average forklift driving experience

- Valid Driver’s License (commercial license not required)

- Clean driving record

- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test

- Ability to work independently and manage time well

- Strong communication and people skills

- General knowledge of shipping and transportation is a plus

- Experience driving up to a 26ft Box Truck a plus

Duties:

- Receive incoming material

- Match to PO’s

- Ensure quantity received is accurate & product not damaged

- Return all paperwork to office

- Organize material

- Organize finished product

- Package completed product for shipping

- Provide weights and dims for shipping

- Communicate with management daily & prep shipments in advance of ship date

- Load and unload vehicles as necessary

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment

- Deliver or pick-up items and goods as instructed

- Other warehouse and delivery/driving duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
