Job Summary:
Kick-start your aviation maintenance career at our world-class Acron Aviation Academy! We are looking for motivated A&P Mechanics to join our team. This position is perfect for recent graduates or mechanics with a few years of experience who are eager to learn and grow. You will gain valuable hands-on experience on our fleet of Cessna and Piper aircraft while following a structured training program that offers guaranteed pay increases as you master new skills.

       Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on our training fleet of Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, and Piper Seminoles.
  • Work under the guidance of Lead Mechanics to conduct maintenance on all aircraft systems, including piston engines, propellers, airframes, flight controls, and landing gear.
  • Follow a comprehensive training syllabus to develop your skills in troubleshooting systems, sheet metal, and composite repair.
  • Ensure all work is performed and documented in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and manufacturers’ technical data.
  • Maintain personal and company tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Assist other mechanics as required and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • Comply with all established company policies, procedures, and standards.

 

       Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with no violations.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 3 years of prior related experience. Recent graduates of A&P programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Must have a current driver’s license and the ability to pass a 10-year FBI background check.
  • Must possess a minimum tool list required to perform maintenance tasks.

      Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with general aviation aircraft, specifically Cessna or Piper models.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.

       Schedule:

  • Schedule: This position supports our 7-day-a-week facility. The primary shifts are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Your schedule will include weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
