Job description

Radiation Oncology Therapist

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM | 8 Hours/Day | 40.00 Hours/Week

Pay Range - $60/hr. - $65/hr. ($2200/week - $2400/week)

Note:

  • Must be licensed as a Radiation Therapist in New York (please provide proof of application; license can take 8–12 weeks to obtain).
  • ARRT certification is required.
  • Epic experience plus.
  • Navy blue scrubs required.
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission, sent via candidate's email. Please ensure an up-to-date email is provided at the time of submission.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Two (2) years of Radiation Therapy experience.
  • Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
  • Interpret computerized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients for treatment reactions and report adverse reactions immediately.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols.
  • Experience with Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21iX equipment.

Education:

  • Satisfactory completion of a Radiation Therapy Technology program in an AMA-approved school meeting ARRT registry requirements.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • ARRT Certification.
  • New York State Radiation Therapist License (or proof of application).
