Work Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 25 hours per week, Contracted position)

Location: Itinerant (Remote work not available)

Position Summary
The Speech/Language Pathologist conducts developmental assessments, develops individualized program plans, and provides speech therapy services for children birth to three, as well as consultation for their families. Services are provided in natural environments such as family homes and community settings in alignment with Early Intervention best practices. Reports directly to the Speech/Language Pathologist Supervisor of Early Intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the achievement of children and family outcomes through evidence-based Early Intervention practices.
  • Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team to assess the development of children with delays in communication, hearing, oral motor, and feeding.
  • Conducts assessments, identifies strengths and needs, and makes recommendations for treatment and intervention strategies.
  • Shares assessment results and progress updates with families and collaborates with other agencies and providers.
  • Maintains organized and appropriate therapeutic equipment and materials; follows Universal Precautions.
  • Collaborates effectively with other specialists within a Family-Guided Routines-Based Intervention framework.
  • Establishes rapport and maintains positive, professional relationships with families.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the Assistant Early Intervention Director and Director as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Speech/Language Pathology with at least one (1) year of related experience.
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist required.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driverโ€™s License and properly insured vehicle available for daily work travel.
  • Required clearances: Act 33 (Child Abuse), Act 34 (Criminal Record), and FBI Background Check.
