Compensation: $78,000–$88,000/year
Step into a fast-paced food manufacturing setting where production never misses a beat. As the Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift, you’ll lead a skilled team of technicians, keep critical equipment reliable, and ensure every line runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP, SQF, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout standards.
A Day in the Life on 2nd Shift
- Kick off with shift handoff: review work orders, align repair priorities, and schedule preventative maintenance (PMs).
- Walk the floor: check packaging lines, conveyors, electrical systems, facility utilities, and processing equipment.
- Assign, coach, and develop maintenance technicians while supporting real-time production needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate outside contractors and vendors for projects and repairs.
- Maintain mechanical integrity programs for ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers.
- Partner with Engineering and Plant Leadership on upgrades, process improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Improve SOPs and PM procedures to increase uptime and reduce costs.
- Document maintenance activities, update reports, and keep precise equipment records.
- Support building maintenance and facility projects as needed.
What You Bring
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting.
- Expert troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
- Background with food processing and packaging equipment (preferred).
- Hands-on familiarity with conveyors, metal detectors, injectors, tumblers, shredders, vacuum packaging equipment, and barcoding systems.
- Experience with AC/DC drives, air compressors, welding, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Refrigeration and Process Safety Management (PSM) experience (preferred).
- Clear communication, strong organization, and the ability to lead by example on the floor.

Working Environment
- Cold production areas below 40°F
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting
