Job description

Position Summary

Accurate Metal Machining is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands machining processes, and is committed to quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend improvements
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Complete production and inspection documentation accurately


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, or both)
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T preferred
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of machining materials (stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment


Preferred Skills (Plus)

  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
  • Basic CNC programming or editing experience
  • Experience with tight tolerance parts
