Access Health Care Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Jersey City, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite within our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Jersey City, where you will collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some occasional flexibility required to meet patient care needs. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Access Health Care Solutions, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Physical Therapists in implementing individual treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and tailored physical activities designed to promote healing and alleviate pain.
• Educating patients on proper body mechanics and effective home exercise programs to foster continued recovery.
• Administering modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermotherapy, under the therapist’s supervision.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, including assessing ranges of motion, strength improvements, and functional capabilities.
• Preparing treatment areas and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are well-organized and readily available for therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team—including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—to share insights and coordinate patient care for optimized outcomes.
• Encouraging a supportive environment by providing emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhering to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and rights are respected at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, neurological conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Understanding their unique needs and providing compassionate, evidence-based care is essential to enhancing their rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.
• Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy practice.
• Proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with patients and effectively collaborate within a healthcare team.
• A patient-centered approach to care, showing empathy and a genuine desire to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet diverse patient needs, demonstrating flexibility and awareness.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• A commitment to professional development and staying informed of advances in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with relevant clinical experience, particularly in a hospital rehabilitation setting, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for patient documentation, and continued education in physical therapy methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
