Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant position with a local Dubuque company.

This is a great opportunity for an organized and dependable administrative professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and working with both customers and internal teams. This position will provide administrative, accounting, and general office support while helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Pay: $20–$24/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Location: Dubuque, IA

What You’ll Do

• Handle daily cash, expense, and basic accounting activities

• Code invoices and assist with accounts payable

• Process paperwork, transactions, and other administrative documentation

• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records

• Assist with employee communications and onboarding

• Answer incoming calls and assist customers and visitors

• Maintain organized files and office records

• Manage office supplies and mail

• Assist with company events and other office activities

• Provide general administrative support to multiple departments as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required

• Associate’s degree or business-related education preferred

• 1–3 years of administrative or related experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organization

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently

• Dependable, professional, and positive attitude

• Valid driver’s license required
