    Job description

    Senior Manager, Events & Community
    About Our Client
Our client is building an operating system for Communications Service Providers, helping telcos modernize the way they manage billing, operations, automation, and customer experience.
Events are one of our client's most important growth channels. From major industry conferences to hosted dinners, panels, advisor gatherings, and eventually a flagship user summit, events are where the company shows up, builds relationships, and creates pipeline.
We're looking for a hands-on, highly organized, creative events leader to own the full event engine from planning through execution.
    About the Role
As Senior Manager, Events & Community, you will own the end-to-end planning, logistics, and on-site execution of our client's event program.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who loves making the details perfect, but also has the taste and creativity to make events feel memorable, polished, and distinctly on-brand. You'll manage everything from booth builds, shipping, vendors, schedules, travel, signage, AV, swag, and hosted dinners to the real-time problem-solving that happens when you're on-site representing the company.
Our client is scaling toward 30-40 events per year, including several tier-one industry events with larger booths, speaking opportunities, panels, and customer dinners. Longer term, you'll help bring to life a flagship user summit and VIP/advisor event strategy.
This is not a "manage from behind the scenes" role. You'll be on the ground, in the room, making sure the experience is excellent.
    What You'll Own
    Event strategy and execution
Own the full event lifecycle across conferences, trade shows, hosted dinners, customer events, advisor gatherings, and future flagship programs. You'll build the calendar, manage planning timelines, coordinate internal stakeholders, and ensure every event runs smoothly from concept to teardown.
    Logistics and operations
    • Manage the operational backbone of the event program, including booth builds, materials, shipping, inventory, vendor management, travel, accommodations, reservations, staffing schedules, AV, signage, swag, setup, and teardown.
    • Tier-one industry events
    • Lead execution for the company's most important events, including major booths, sponsored activations, speaking slots, panels, demos, and hosted customer dinners. You'll help ensure the company shows up with a presence that feels sharp, credible, and memorable.
    • Creative activations and experiences
    • Bring taste, originality, and strong judgment to booths, dinners, and customer experiences. You'll help create moments that stand out - not gimmicky, but thoughtful, well-designed, and aligned with the company's brand.
    • On-site leadership
    • Travel to events and serve as a confident face of the company. You'll support Sales and Growth teams, help drive booth traffic, coordinate demos, manage last-minute issues, and make sure the company's presence feels buttoned-up and welcoming.
    • Cross-functional coordination
    • Partner closely with Business Development on invite lists and outreach, Sales on pre- and post-event follow-up, Product on demos and messaging, and Leadership on panels, speakers, and strategic customer moments.
    • Process, measurement, and scale
    • Create repeatable systems for event planning, vendor management, booth inventory, calendars, and reporting. Track attendance, pipeline, ROI, and qualitative learnings to help shape the event strategy over time.

    What We're Looking For
    • We're looking for someone who is equal parts logistics machine, creative operator, and calm on-site problem solver.
    • Approximately 5+ years of experience in events, field marketing, event operations, or a related role
    • Experience running B2B events, ideally in SaaS, technology, telecom, infrastructure, or another technical market
    • Strong project management skills and extreme attention to detail
    • A track record of managing multiple events, vendors, deadlines, stakeholders, and moving parts at once
    • Comfort traveling regularly, often on short notice, across North America
    • Strong creative instincts and examples of events, dinners, booths, or activations that felt thoughtful and memorable
    • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the confidence to represent a company on-site with customers, prospects, partners, and executives
    • A calm, resourceful approach when plans change, vendors miss, shipments get delayed, or the unexpected happens

    Compensation & Benefits
The expected compensation range is approximately $110K-$130K USD base salary, plus approximately 10% variable compensation tied to event outcomes, and equity in the form of stock options.
Our client also offers flexible vacation, group insurance, flexible hours, and a fully remote work environment. Benefits may vary by location.
    Location & Travel
This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates based in the United States. Candidates in Canada may also be considered.
Because this role requires regular travel, candidates should be located near a major airport and be comfortable traveling approximately 1-2 times per month, with variable cadence throughout the year. Some months may be quiet; others may include back-to-back events or short-notice travel.
