Job Summary
Absolute Elder Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to support our provider during home visits throughout the Ocala and The Villages area. This position involves traveling with the provider, assisting with patient care, documentation, and coordination of services for our geriatric patient population.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, home health agencies, and other healthcare providers to ensure patients' needs are met.
  • Maintain professional and courteous relationships with patients, families, referral partners, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate patient visit lists and documentation.
  • Complete and merge progress notes accurately and timely.
  • Transmit provider orders to pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic imaging companies, and other healthcare partners as directed.
  • Answer questions and provide clarification regarding provider orders when appropriate.
  • Ensure the provider is stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment for daily home visits.
  • Facilitate telemedicine visits as needed.
  • Attend weekly Medical Assistant team meetings via Microsoft Teams.
  • Assist the provider in meeting CMS quality and documentation objectives.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality primary care services in patients' homes throughout the Ocala and The Villages area.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant required
  • Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
  • Strong computer and transcription skills, EClinical Works a plus!
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
