Intern Opportunity - Marketing/Business Development Intern
Company: ATSC
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: Summer 2026
Hours: Full-time / 40 hrs. ~ 10 Weeks (June - August)
Overview
ATSC is seeking a highly motivated Intern to support marketing programs within the aerospace and defense sector. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to marketing and branding for a company supporting defense and homeland security clients of the US government. The role will also support marketing for systems, solutions and products used for counter drone and border security operations. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to ATSC's marketing and branding efforts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with revising and updating website and marketing collateral
  • Support members of the Business Development team with presentations and updating product marketing material
  • Gather, compile, and organize information to prepare reports and presentations as needed
  • Support day-to-day marketing and business development operations and administrative tasks
  • Observe and learn from experienced staff to gain insight into professional practices
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Work Press or comparable webpage design programs
  • Experience with web page design and social media sites (i.e. LinkedIn)
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (preferred areas of study include marketing, business or graphic design)
  • Able to use AI tools to assist with marketing and graphic design (examples include Gemini, Canvas, Adobe Photo shop)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow established procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools
  • Effectively manages time and communicates progress
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to comply with company security policies and applicable government regulations
  • U.S. citizenship
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work is primarily conducted in a professional office environment, with possible exposure to program or operational settings
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, climb stairs, and demonstrate manual dexterity
  • May be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 15-25 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must have the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to perform essential job functions
