Commercial Cleaning Technician (Part-Time)

ATLAS Maintenance Services LLC is a growing provider of professional maintenance and commercial cleaning services committed to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy environments for our clients. Position Summary:

We are currently seeking two (2) reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaners to join our growing team.

This part-time position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who are able to work independently and as part of a team. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of multiple commercial facilities throughout Westchester County and the Bronx, totaling approximately 20–30 hours per week.

Work is performed primarily during evening hours and offers a consistent weekly schedule with flexibility in start times depending on the assigned locations. Additional hours and responsibilities may become available as the company continues to grow.

We are seeking dependable individuals who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and are committed to maintaining Atlas standards at every location.

Key Responsibilities:

Location 1: Gym in Mount Vernon, NY

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of locker rooms, restrooms, and shower areas, including disinfecting surfaces, fixtures, mirrors, and touch-points.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of entrance, lobby, and common areas by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility and replace liners as needed.
• Dust accessible surfaces, windowsills, and ledges to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Keep glass entry doors and mirrors clean and free of fingerprints and smudges.
• Perform periodic detail cleaning tasks, including high dusting and interior and exterior window cleaning as scheduled.
• Restock restroom supplies as necessary.

Location 2: Fitness Studio in Eastchester, NY

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the fitness studio, including vacuuming turf areas, sweeping and mopping floors, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and shower areas, including fixtures, mirrors, sinks, and touch-points.
• Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility and replace liners as needed.
• Maintain lobby and common areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for members.
• Perform periodic detail cleaning tasks, including high dusting and interior and exterior window cleaning as scheduled.
• Restock restroom supplies as necessary.

Location 3: Gym in Tarrytown, NY

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of restrooms and shower areas, including disinfecting fixtures, mirrors, and touch-points.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, sweep and mop hard floors, and maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the fitness facility.
• Empty trash receptacles throughout the gym and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and disinfect counter-tops, drinking fountains, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain entrance areas, lobby, and glass doors to ensure a clean and professional appearance for members.
• Restock restroom supplies as necessary.
• Perform periodic detail cleaning tasks, including high dusting and interior and exterior window cleaning, and other deep cleaning services as scheduled.

Location 4: Dental Office in New Rochelle, NY

• Execute a comprehensive cleaning and sanitation program for the dental office, including treatment rooms, offices, reception areas, hallways, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors to maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the facility.
• Clean and disinfect counter-tops, furniture, touch-points, and other surfaces using proper cleaning procedures.
• Empty all trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Maintain reception and waiting areas to ensure a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Restock restroom supplies as necessary.

Location 5: Dental Office in Bronx, NY

• Execute a comprehensive cleaning and sanitation program for the dental office, including treatment rooms, offices, reception areas, hallways, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors to maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the facility.
• Clean and disinfect counter-tops, furniture, touch-points, and other surfaces using proper cleaning procedures.
• Empty all trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Maintain reception and waiting areas to ensure a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Restock restroom supplies as necessary.

General Responsibilities:

• Follow assigned cleaning checklists and complete required shift logbooks while maintaining ATLAS standards.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all janitorial closets, supply areas, and cleaning equipment.
• Properly use and store all chemicals, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Verify that all assigned areas have been cleaned, disinfected, and left in a professional condition before leaving the facility.
• Secure all doors, turn off lights where applicable, and follow site-specific closing procedures.
• Report any unusual conditions, safety hazards, leaks, damages, or client concerns promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent ATLAS in a courteous and professional manner.
• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts, clock in and out as required, and notify management promptly of any emergencies or schedule conflicts.
• Work efficiently and manage time effectively while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Take before-and-after photos and submit them when requested by management.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working in a variety of commercial and healthcare settings.
• Be prepared to assist with additional cleaning tasks, detail work, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work assigned hours consistently.

• Ability to work independently, collaborate with team members, and manage time effectively.

• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting.

• Must have reliable transportation (private or public) to travel between the locations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with management and work cooperatively with other team members.

• Ability to pass a background check.
