We are seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team, reporting directly to the Shop Manager. This role requires expertise in a variety of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, handling a mix of project types. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and customer service, with occasional local travel as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repair and maintenance
• Conduct brake system maintenance and repairs
• Carry out diagnostic testing using automotive tools
• Service transmissions and handle transmission repairs
• Complete electrical system troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain HVAC systems within vehicles
• Manage tools and equipment efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and solutions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in automotive repair
• Strong diagnostics skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Proficient in engine diagnostics and repair
• Experienced in brake systems and transmission repair
• Skilled in electrical systems troubleshooting and HVAC repair
• Expertise in using automotive tools and equipment
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
