Job Title: Full-Time / Part-Time Cashier

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service. The cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a friendly and professional attitude.

• Accurately process cash, credit card, debit card, and other payment transactions.

• Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and store credits according to company policies.

• Count and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.

• Answer customer questions and assist with locating products when needed.

• Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and other promotions.

• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and keeping the sales floor clean during slower periods.

• Monitor product displays near the checkout area and restock as needed.

• Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, customer service, and safety.

• Report equipment issues, pricing discrepancies, or customer concerns to management promptly.

• Work as part of a team to maintain a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

• Basic math and cash handling skills.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position, typically 35 to 40 hours per week.

• Flexible availability, Must be available to work on weekends.

• Overtime may be available based on business needs.
