Job description

About the Role:
Angels R Us Kidz Academy in Chicago, IL is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our youngest learners in a warm, supportive environment. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood development
  • Supervise and engage toddlers in structured and free-play activities
  • Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing regulations
  • Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting
  • Knowledge of DCFS licensing requirements and early childhood best practices
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by Illinois state regulations
  • Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching and caregiving
