Job description

Overview
At Amivie, care begins with connection. We provide personalized in-home care and
individualized support that helps seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities live safely,
independently, and comfortably in the place they call home.
Our caregivers bring reliability, warmth, and respect into every home they serve. This is more
than a job - it is an opportunity to make a real difference, build meaningful relationships, and
help people live their best lives with dignity, comfort, and confidence.
Position Summary
The Caregiver provides compassionate, dependable, person-centered support to clients in their
homes and communities. This role assists with daily living activities, personal care,
companionship, homemaking, and safety support based on each client's individualized care
plan.
The ideal caregiver is patient, reliable, respectful, and committed to helping others maintain
independence and quality of life. Every visit is an opportunity to provide care that is not only
safe and professional, but also deeply human.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care support, including assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing,
eating, toileting, mobility, positioning, and transfers.
• Assist with daily routines that support client comfort, independence, and dignity.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement to reduce isolation and support
emotional well-being.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, errands, and other
homemaker tasks as assigned.
• Support safe mobility, including walking, transferring, turning, positioning, and use of
approved assistive equipment when appropriate.
• Provide medication reminders or assistance with pre-dosed medications within role
guidelines and applicable regulations.
• Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, needs, or safety concerns to
the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow each client's individualized care plan and document services accurately and
timely.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, supervisors, and care team members.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every person supported.
Qualifications
What You Bring
• A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to care.
• A genuine interest in helping people live safely and independently at home.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and families.
• Reliability, punctuality, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to the broader care team.
• Comfort assisting with personal care and daily living needs.
• Ability to lift, transfer, turn, or reposition clients as required by the care plan.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior caregiving, home care, PCA, CNA, DSP, or direct support experience preferred, but
not always required.

About Community Based Care

Sourced by ZipRecruiter

Community Based Care (CBC) is a statewide child welfare reform initiative launched by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Rather than relying solely on DCF caseworkers, CBC contracts with local, nonprofit “lead agencies” (19 across Florida) to manage all aspects of foster care and related child protection services in their regions. These lead agencies (e.g. ChildNet in Broward/Palm Beach, Children’s Network of Hillsborough in Circuit 13, Family Support Services in Jacksonville) are embedded in their communities, responsible for intake, placement, therapy, adoption, prevention, and performance reporting. The goal is safer, more accountable, locally‑tailored child welfare services and permanent family outcomes.
