Job description

Job Summary

The Coordinator, Benefits manages and supports various functions to ensure the efficient execution of all benefit administration and programs. This role serves as a key liaison between associates, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality in benefits processes and communications.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:
  • Leave of Absence and Reasonable Accommodation Request Management – Act as the liaison between the outsourced leave administrator, associates, supervisors, and Payroll, to ensure accuracy and compliance of leave and accommodation processes.
  • Group Health Plan & Retirement Plan Support - Provide timely responses to associate inquiries, monitor eligibility and enrollment processes, perform periodic plan audits, and assist with education initiatives and events.
  • Maintain Benefits Systems/Policies/Documents - Monitor and update of various benefit systems including the online enrollment system, AMC Intranet, Corporate and Theatre Handbook policies and other documents to ensure compliance. Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement changes and maintain compliance.
  • Budget Reconciliation - Audit vendor invoices to ensure billing accuracy, compare with budget allocations and process invoices for benefit payments
What we need from you:
  • 2+ years of experience in Benefits, Human Resources, or theatre management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of associates clearly and empathetically via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in processing benefits, managing leave of absences and auditing vendor invoices.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulations, policies and systems to maintain compliance and provide effective support.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze situations, and develop effective solutions efficiently, ensuring positive outcomes for associates and the organization.
  • Ability to navigate vendor systems and interpret reports effectively.
  • Ability to explain and understand benefit plan provisions.
What we also value (preferred):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Benefits certification preferred (Certified Benefits Professional, PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of benefit regulations including COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and USERRA.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in Benefits Administration.
Minimum qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Benefits, Human Resources, or theatre management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of associates clearly and empathetically via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in processing benefits, managing leave of absences and auditing vendor invoices.
