About the Role
Altus Compliance is looking for an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to join our team full-time. You'll help ensure properties stay compliant with affordable housing program requirements (such as LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other applicable federal/state/local programs). This is a fully remote role, great for someone who knows affordable housing compliance and is looking for steady, meaningful work with room to grow.
What You'll Do
- Review tenant files for compliance with program requirements (income certifications, recertifications, lease documents, etc.)
- Track key compliance deadlines and recertification dates
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to agencies as needed
- Identify and flag compliance issues, and recommend fixes
- Keep up with changes to LIHTC, HUD, and other housing program regulations
- Communicate with property teams to gather documentation and resolve file issues
- Maintain organized, accurate compliance records
What You Need
- Experience with affordable housing compliance (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, or similar programs)
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable reviewing paperwork/files
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-motivated and reliable working independently and remotely
Compensation
$33,280 – $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
