Job Description
What you're responsible for:
- Weighing and grading non-ferrous metals accurately using scale systemsÂ
- Inspecting incoming materials and determining classification and value
- Operating forklifts and directing the unloading of customer materials safelyÂ
- Providing high-quality customer service and handling inquiries or concerns confidently
- Organizing yard inventory, including bins and material flow
- Preparing and closing daily operations, including cleanup and documentationÂ
- Communicating effectively with customers and team members, including resolving issues when needed
Qualifications
To join our team:
- You have experience in non-ferrous metals, scrap yard operations, or material grading
- You have experience with scale systems and/or forklift operation (preferred)
- You are comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- You demonstrate strong customer service skills, confidence, and the ability to handle challenging situations
- You are reliable, organized, and eager to learn, with strong initiative and common senseÂ
