ReportingdirectlytothePresident,AssemblyMaterialsDivision,theNorthAmericaSalesDirectorisresponsibleforleadingthesalesteam,createtheorganization'ssalesstrategyanddriverevenuegrowth.ThisrolefocusesonmanagingandholdingaccountableaNorthAmericanSalesteamtoimplementeffectivesalesprocesses,tools,andtechniquestoachievedefinedperformancemetricswhilefosteringstrongcustomerrelationshipsandidentifyingopportunitiesforbusinessexpansion.Theincumbentalsomonitorsindustrytrends,competitoractivity,andcustomersneedstocreatestrategicactionplansthatstrengthencustomerretentionandsupportcontinuedgrowth.
Responsibilities:
ThispositioncanbebasedinRhodeIsland,ElPasoorMontreal.
TheNorthAmericaSalesDirector-USA,CanadaandMexico'sresponsibilitiesincludebutarenotlimitedto:
- DirectlymanagingthesalesforceteamofacrossNorthAmericaincludinghiring,terminations,settingtargets,training,andreviewingtheirwork;
- WorkingcloselywiththePresidenttosetgoalsandholdthesalesforceaccountablebyfrequentassessments;
- CoordinatingsaleseffortsandprovidingassistanceandguidanceatpotentialandexistingaccountsthroughoutNorthAmerica;
- WorkingcloselywiththePresidenttodrivegrossmargingrowth;
- Establishingthecorporateguidelinesforsalesactivities;
- WorkingwiththeBusinessDevelopmentTeamindeveloping,promoting,andmaintainingacohesiveworkethictowardsstrategicaccounts;
- EnsuringfluentandefficientcoordinationwithbetweenallSalesManagers;
- Assistingthemarketingdepartmenttodevelopeffectivemarketingprograms;
- Preparingforecastinginformation;
- Participatinginpricingapprovaltoensureprofitabilityandsustainabilityoftheaccounts;
- Managingthesalesteamexpensesefficiently;
- Interfacingwithcreditdepartmentasnecessary;
- Attendingindustrytradeshows;
- Effectivelymanagingthedistributorandmanufacturers'representativeprograms.
Qualifications:
- Candidatesshouldhaveathoroughunderstandingofsolderingmaterialsandtheelectronicassembly(PCBA)processesaswellasknowledgeandexperienceofthedecision-makingprocesswithinthesecomplexpotentialcustomers.
- Candidateshouldhaveaprovenrecordofsellingandmanagingconsumableproductswithintheindustrypreferablywithsolderandassemblymaterials.
- Candidateshouldpossessaminimumof10yearsbackgroundinsalesand3+yearsinmanagingasalesforceinNorthAmericawithaprovenrecordofunderstandinghowtoplanandexecutesalesandmarketingtacticsandprograms.Experienceintheseareasshouldbewithinthepast2years;
- MustbeabletotravelwithinNorthAmericaonaregularbasis;
- Undergraduatedegreeorabove;
- FluencyinEnglish,SpanishandFrenchwouldbeanasset;
- ExcellentknowledgeofthecultureoftheNorthAmericanmarket.
