About the Company

Indiana seed company is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager. This role is open due to an internal promotion. The company is family and team focused. Managers and hourlies all work together for the benefit of the whole. Your goal is to produce a quality product while fostering good employee communications and career development. Limited layers with no bureaucracy creates a focused and nimble culture that allows for decisions to be made quickly.


About the Role

This opportunity is responsible for all internal equipment, buildings, and warehouses that are used in the processing and packaging of seed. The person in this role plays a key part in the overall operation and direction of the company. You will sit on the Management Team and be responsible for ten direct reports. You will lead projects and oversee all repairs.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all repairs.
  • Lead projects.
  • Manage ten direct reports.
  • Understand how the process flows throughout the plant.
  • Connect with outside vendors to complete jobs when necessary.
  • Utilize sorters, shellers, cleaners, robotics, and treaters to clean and process row crop seed.


Qualifications

  • First-hand knowledge of plant automation systems.
  • Experience in electrical and fabrication.


Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make diagnoses for repairs.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a similar role within the industry.


Pay range and compensation package

You can expect a salary in the $75,000 to $85,000 range. Should you be hired, you'll receive a competitive compensation package and benefits.
