Civil Engineer – Land Development (80% Remote)

Full-Time | Exempt
Denver, CO (1 day/week in-office)
$100,000 – $150,000


About the Opportunity

A leading Civil Land Development engineering firm is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer to join its growing remote team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants the flexibility of a primarily remote schedule while remaining connected to a collaborative, high-performing team environment through weekly in-office coordination in Denver.

The firm works on a diverse mix of private and public land development projects and is known for strong technical leadership, long-term client relationships, and well-managed project workloads.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site development design for commercial, residential, mixed-use, and public infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, and internal teams
  • Oversee permitting and entitlement processes
  • Identify and resolve design and project issues proactively
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and support team development
  • Participate in client communication and project planning efforts

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 5–15 years of civil land development experience
  • Strong experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and site development design
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and related engineering software
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Work Environment
  • 80% remote work schedule
  • Required in-office collaboration approximately 1 day per week in Denver
  • Team-oriented environment focused on communication, accountability, and flexibility
  • Strong emphasis on sustainable workloads and long-term employee retention

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $100,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
