Network Cabling Installation Technician

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Network Cabling Installation
Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in

structured cabling industry.

Position Summary
The Network Cabling Installation Technician will assist with the installation, testing, and
maintenance of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic networks, in
commercial, industrial, educational, and government environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
• Read and follow project drawings, floor plans, and work instructions.
• Install cable pathways, including J-hooks, cable trays, conduit, and ladder racks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues as needed.
• Accurately document completed work and communicate project progress with
• supervisors.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to and from job sites and occasionally work out of town when
• projects require.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and in various job site
• environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation REQUIRED
• Cat6 installation experience preferred.
• Fiber optic installation and termination experience preferred.
• Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Tools provided by employee minus job specific needs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cable testing and certification equipment.
• Knowledge of telecommunications rooms and data center environments.
• Experience working in commercial construction settings.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
