To support the continued growth of its Boston team, the firm is seeking an Investment Banking Associate with strong transaction execution, financial analysis and M&A experience.

The Investment Banking Associate will play a central role across the full transaction lifecycle, working closely with senior bankers and management teams on financial analysis, valuation, marketing materials, due diligence and deal execution. This is a hands-on advisory role offering significant responsibility across live mandates, direct exposure to senior professionals and clients, and the opportunity to develop deep sector expertise within healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • M&A Execution: Support transactions throughout the full deal lifecycle, from initial preparation and positioning through marketing, due diligence, negotiations and closing.

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materials to support client recommendations and deal execution.

  • Marketing Materials: Prepare information memoranda, management presentations, buyer materials and other transaction documentation for active M&A processes.

  • Healthcare Sector Analysis: Conduct detailed company, industry and market research across healthcare subsectors, identifying sector trends, consolidation themes and relevant transaction activity.

  • Deal Origination Support: Assist senior bankers with identifying prospective clients, transaction opportunities and relevant strategic themes within the healthcare market.

  • Buyer & Investor Research: Analyse strategic buyers, private equity investors and other potential counterparties to support transaction positioning and buyer outreach strategies.

  • Due Diligence: Coordinate financial, commercial and operational diligence processes and work with clients, buyers, accountants, lawyers and other advisers throughout execution.

  • Client Interaction: Work directly with management teams, shareholders and senior executives throughout live engagements, providing analytical and transaction support.

  • Transaction Materials: Prepare high-quality presentations, valuation materials, transaction updates and other materials for senior bankers and clients.

  • Process Management: Manage key transaction workstreams, information flows, buyer interactions and execution timelines across multiple simultaneous mandates.

Candidate Requirements

  • Investment Banking Experience: Relevant experience within investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance or a closely related transaction-focused environment.

  • Transaction Execution: Demonstrable exposure to M&A transactions and a strong understanding of the deal process from initial analysis through due diligence and closing.

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities, with confidence interpreting company financials and transaction economics.

  • Healthcare Experience: Prior healthcare investment banking, M&A or transaction experience is preferred, although strong candidates from adjacent sector teams may also be considered.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to assess companies, industries and transaction opportunities in detail.

  • Commercial Judgement: Ability to understand transaction rationale, assess strategic and financial buyers and identify key commercial considerations.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality client materials and interact confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.

  • Execution Mindset: Comfortable operating within a lean advisory environment with significant responsibility, multiple live workstreams and direct exposure to senior professionals and clients.

Location & Mobility: Boston-based, with flexibility to travel where required for client meetings and transaction execution.
