Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate employee safety training and new-hire safety orientation.
  • Support fleet, driver, vehicle, and equipment safety programs.
  • Monitor safety performance and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Serve as a company safety resource during OSHA, insurance, or other regulatory inspections.
  • Stop work when an imminent safety hazard exists and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.

The Safety Manager should be comfortable supporting safety practices involving:

  • Fall protection
  • Scaffolding and ladders
  • Aerial lifts
  • Cranes and rigging
  • Glass and material handling
  • Power tools and PPE
  • Silica and respiratory protection

  • Ability to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with field employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver requirements.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between company facilities and jobsites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial construction, glazing, heavy industrial, civil construction, or a similar environment.
  • OSHA 500 certification.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or comparable professional safety certification.
  • First Aid / CPR certification.
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish communication skills.
  • Experience with fleet safety, DOT compliance, or workers’ compensation programs.

Note: OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification may be obtained after hire within an established timeframe.
