Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Huntington Hospital

The Cohen Children’s Northwell Health Pediatric Service Line and Department of Pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Hospitalist to lead the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and oversee the Pediatric In-patient Service at Huntington Hospital in Huntington, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, the ability to oversee the quality improvement activities of the Division, a track record in teaching and supervising residents and the requisite administrative skills. Academic Appointment to Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience.

  • Lead role in developing clinical protocols
  • Attend administrative and academic meetings
  • Responsibilities include patient care, supervision of learners, and QI oversight.
  • Participation in clinical research is available.
  • Opportunities are available for collaboration with Cohen Children’s Medical Center to implement best practices, develop clinical policies and procedures and participate in scholarly activities.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative team of Pediatric Hospitalistscovering nursery care, inpatient pediatrics, and emergency department consults. This position does not include Labor & Delivery responsibilities, and full-time on-site BE/BC neonatologists are available to consult and manage newborns in our Level II nursery.
