Manufacturing Welder Or Fabricator

A Manufacturing Welder or Fabricator uses specialized welding equipment to join, repair, and fabricate metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. Welders commonly operate MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored, and Stick welding equipment in manufacturing and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Set up welding machines, wire, gas, and voltage settings.
  • Inspect welds and finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Cut, shape, and repair metal using grinders, torches, and plasma cutters.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain safe work areas.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Welding school certification preferred.
  • Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of steel, aluminum, welding techniques, and machine maintenance.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in production environments.
