Are you passionate about supporting mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey? Do you want to make a difference in your community in a meaningful and personal way? We are currently seeking a Part-Time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to join our WIC team in Brooklyn, NY.

As a Peer Counselor, you'll provide one-on-one support, encouragement, and information to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, helping them navigate early motherhood with confidence. • Work flexible hours outside the traditional 9-5 to meet the needs of new moms.
  • Participate in trainings, conferences, and team meetings to expand your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous personal breastfeeding experience.
  • Completion of Peer Counselor Training (or willingness to complete).
  • A current or former WIC participant or a member of the local community.
  • Warm, supportive, and nurturing personality.
  • Reliable phone access and transportation.
  • A genuine passion for helping other women succeed in breastfeeding.

This is more than just a job-it's a calling. If you are eager to lift up new mothers and promote healthier beginnings for babies in your community, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us build a healthier Brooklyn, one mother at a time.
