Job Description

818 Inspections LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Home Inspector to join our growing team. We are a high-volume inspection company known for accurate reports, professionalism, and same-day service. Our inspectors are expected to uphold the highest inspection standards while delivering excellent customer service to clients and real estate professionals. Inspectors earn a percentage of each inspection along with a monthly vehicle allowance or company provided vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential home inspections in accordance with ASHI Standards of Practice and company policies
• Inspect roofs, attics, crawlspaces, foundations, structural components, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interiors
• Accurately identify and report defects, deficiencies, and safety concerns
• Produce clear, detailed, same-day inspection reports using company software
• Communicate findings professionally with clients and real estate agents
• Follow all company safety policies and inspection procedures
• Protect the company by ensuring inspections are complete, accurate, and honest
• Report any property damage or safety concerns immediately to management
• Assist and/or complete the treatment for termite control

Requirements

• Current California Home Inspector certification or equivalent experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with no experience.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and building systems
• Ability to safely access roofs, attics, and crawlspaces when conditions allow
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Smartphone, tablet, and basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily inspection schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior home inspection experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate with no experience
• Background in construction, trades, or related fields preferred but not required
• Knowledge of termite/WDO inspections is a plus (not required)
