Job description

$22.00-25.00/hour 1st Shift Contract To Permanent Education/Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years’ equivalent experience required. Responsibilities/Duties: Blueprint reading for manufacturing prints, geometric tolerance, finish requirements, and manufacturing notes. 3-5+ years’ experience as CNC Machinist including the ability to perform own part setups.

Ability to set-up 3 or 4 jaw lathe(s) with minimal supervision and without causing damage to parts or equipment. Ability to distinguish between different types of threaded connections, sizes and be familiar with all types of products manufactured by PQES. Ability to perform job duties with Quality and Quantity in mind.

Must be able to setup and use MRP Gauges and other inspection equipment. Ability to follow a work schedule and flow for completion of parts in timely manner. Assist in controlling tooling inventory and tooling use.

Problem solving skills i.e., Speed and feed to reduce chatter. Basic computer skills (email, MS Office) and good communication skills. Must be self-directed and exhibit a strong ability to handle multiple tasks.

Lifting required of parts, tools, and accessories of parts up to 50 lbs. Operation of overhead hoist/crane, with safety in mind, for larger parts, greater than 50 lbs. Climbing up to 5 ft.

(Operation of crane). Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required. Other duties as required.

Other Skills: Experience as CNC Programmer using CAM software with an understanding of G-Code and M-Code CNC Programming is a plus. Experience with Premium Threads (JFE, VAM, etc.) a Plus. Adaptable to changing schedules.

Must be detailed oriented. Team attitude required. Good vision, corrected vision acceptable.

Ability to work any shift and overtime (limited requirement).
