7k Fire Protection

The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for ensuring fire safety equipment in commercial buildings, industrial sites, and mixed environments is properly inspected, maintained, and compliant with safety regulations. Working independently, this role involves performing technical maintenance and repair tasks while maintaining accurate records and ensuring customer safety through diligent inspections and equipment installations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire extinguishers and related equipment for proper operation and compliance
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, and repairs on fire extinguishers
• Install new fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards
• Communicate effectively with customers about equipment status and maintenance needs
• Travel locally to various commercial and industrial sites to perform duties

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in fire safety equipment maintenance
• Technical certification in fire protection (Type B)
• Fire extinguisher technician certification
• Strong skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, safety inspections, and equipment installation
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and attention to detail
• Effective customer communication skills
