Role Description

Our Grill Cook position is a full-time, on-site role supporting both No. 7 Rooftop Bar and Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar. This person is responsible for preparing and grilling menu items according to established recipes and standards while ensuring proper cooking times, temperatures, portioning, quality, and presentation.

Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down the grill station, preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and following all recipes and portion guidelines. The Grill Cook works closely with both kitchen teams to coordinate orders, manage ticket flow, and provide timely, consistent service.

This position also requires effective communication with front-of-house employees, monitoring station inventory, communicating product needs, assisting with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed, and complying with all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

* Strong food-preparation and cooking skills, with experience working on a grill line or in a similar kitchen position

* Knowledge of restaurant kitchen operations, including food-safety practices, station setup, sanitation, and efficient organization

* Understanding of food and beverage standards, including portion control, recipe consistency, presentation, and quality assurance

* Ability to work effectively across the kitchens at both No. 7 Rooftop Bar and Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

* Awareness of how timely, accurate, and consistent food preparation contributes to a positive guest experience

* Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple orders simultaneously

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Reliable, punctual, and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

* Previous restaurant or bar kitchen experience preferred

* Formal culinary training is a plus but is not required
