Location: Huntsville, AL

Travel: None expected

Clearance: Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship required

Summary/Objective

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative support at the division level.
  • Manage calendars, receive, and direct incoming calls.
  • Track and compile information and prepare various reports and correspondence in accordance with U.S. Army Regulation 25-50.
  • Update division rosters and personnel directories. Will account for directorate transfers, new hires, etc.
  • Receive visitors, schedule meetings, and arranges conference calls.
  • Prepare purchase requests, submit and track work orders, and monitor and procure office supplies.
  • Enter Department of the Army Civilian (DAC) time into Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS).
  • Assist the division in submitting forms such as DAC transfers, promotion packets, award packets, alternate work schedule, request for hires, etc.
  • Track official travel including inbound/outbound status, purpose of trip, and location.
  • Division-level Key Control Custodian (KCC) duties.
  • Redstone Arsenal Visitor Sponsor Program privileged user duties.
  • Adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.  Able to exercise initiative under only broad guidance.
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office (MS) 365 user, including other MS Office suite of tools, Adobe Acrobat and experience using MS SharePoint.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an interim DoD Secret Clearance and full clearance at the completion of the government’s process.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Clearance

  • Prior military organization employment as military or civilian, and corresponding understanding of military headquarters staff organization, roles, and relationships.
  • Minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance
