Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and efficiency-driven, and hands-on.


Commercial Cabinet Shop Foreman to lead our high-volume production facility. In this role, you will split your time between floor management and active fabrication, you will oversee the daily manufacturing of large-scale commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, and casework. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at optimizing workflow throughput, and ensures strict compliance with project specifications and commercial quality standards. You will manage a large team of machine operators, assemblers, and laminators to meet demanding commercial contract deadlines.


Core Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling & Throughput: Optimize daily production schedules to meet strict commercial project timelines and maximize shop floor efficiency.
  • Mass Production Oversight: Supervise batch cutting, high-volume assembly lines, and commercial laminating processes.
  • Blueprint & Submittal Mastery: Review and interpret complex commercial architectural blueprints, submittal drawings, and massive cut lists.
  • Quality Compliance: Enforce strict quality control standards, ensuring all fabricated casework meets Architectural specifications.
  • Team & Labor Management: Delegate tasks to a large team, track labor hours against project budgets.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a culture of safety by enforcing OSHA regulations, PPE compliance, and proper hazardous material handling.
  • Automated Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the continuous operation and routine maintenance of industrial machinery, including CNC nesting lines, industrial edge banders, and panel saws.
  • Material Logistics: Coordinate and check the inventory levels to ensure bulk sheet goods, plastic laminates, and commercial hardware are staged and ready for production.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial millwork or casework manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a shop foreman or production supervisor role.
  • Commercial Material Expertise: Extensive experience working with particleboard, MDF, plywood, plastic laminates (PLAM), solid surfacing, and commercial hardware systems.
  • Industrial Machinery Literacy: Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing equipment (CNC routers, automatic edge banders, beam saws, dowel inserters).
  • Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to read architectural blueprints, section details, and commercial millwork shop drawings.
  • Leadership & Metrics: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and hold accountable a crew of 6+ shop employees in a high-production environment.
  • Efficiency Focus: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, batch processing, or continuous improvement strategies.
  • Installation: Ability to Lead Installation on job the site.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in pre-assembly of cabinets, assembly of cabinets, QC of cabinets, and programming or troubleshooting machinery software.
  • Experience utilizing Trello project management and productivity tool software to track job progress.


Physical Requirements.

  • Capability to lift and move heavy commercial materials and hardware up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate a large, active manufacturing floor for long shifts.
