You will operate specialized front loader trucks to efficiently collect and transport commercial waste from various business locations. Duties

• Safely operate front loader trucks to collect waste from commercial containers, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and traffic laws
• Load waste materials using hydraulic arms and other equipment on front loader trucks with precision and care
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues or maintenance needs, ensuring optimal performance
• Assist with the unloading process at disposal sites or transfer stations, utilizing manual lifting techniques when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collection volumes, and any incidents or equipment issues
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational challenges promptly
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and inspecting hydraulic systems to prevent breakdowns

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to truck operation and maintenance
• Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks or roll-off trucks in a commercial setting
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred
• Skilled in driving heavy-duty vehicles safely over various routes and terrains
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during waste load handling and unloading processes
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures for different types of waste containers and materials
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively
