360X Staffing is hiring for multiple Pipe Welders in Marinette, WI.
Pay: $35/hr + $185 daily per diem for days worked
Job Description:
We are currently looking for experienced GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) pipe welders to join our team for new construction projects for DOD Navy Ships in Marinette, WI. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CUNI (Copper-Nickel) socket welds, 6G Stainless steel welding, and the ability to ensure that all socket welds pass a macro etch testing procedure. This position is crucial for maintaining the highest quality standards in the construction of new build Navy ships for the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities:
- Perform GTAW pipe welding on various materials including CUNI and 6G Stainless steel- Execute socket welds to precise specifications and standards- Ensure all welded components meet quality requirements and pass macro etch testing- Interpret blueprints, welding specifications, and welding symbols accurately- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures for defects- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a GTAW pipe welder with expertise in CUNI socket welds and 6G Stainless steel welding- Certification in welding techniques and processes- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in welding environments- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks effectively- Prior experience in new construction projects, particularly in shipbuilding, is a plus
