Site Manager – Groveport, Ohio

247 Fulfillment is one of North America’s fastest-growing 3PL networks, built on operational excellence, modern technology, and a culture centered on speed, accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

With rapidly expanding facilities across Canada and the United States, we support high-growth brands that require reliable fulfillment, real-time visibility, and consistent execution.

Our new Groveport, Ohio fulfillment center will be a major U.S. node in our network. We are hiring a Site Manager who can help launch the facility, build the team, establish strong operating standards, and lead the site through its next stage of growth.

Role Overview

The Site Manager is the operational owner of the Groveport fulfillment center. They are responsible for the successful launch and ongoing performance of the facility, including staffing, throughput, inventory accuracy, safety, operational discipline, client satisfaction, and overall site performance.

This person will ensure that:

  • Orders are shipped accurately and on time.
  • Inbound inventory is received and put away within SLA.
  • Inventory remains accurate across all SKUs and locations.
  • Labor is planned according to volume.
  • The warehouse remains clean, safe, organized, and operationally disciplined.

Because this is a new facility, the Site Manager will also help establish the warehouse layout, operating workflows, staffing structure, equipment requirements, and launch plan.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable building an operation while managing its daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Launch and Operational Setup
  • Help lead the opening and launch of the Groveport fulfillment center.
  • Coordinate warehouse layout, racking, storage locations, pack stations, equipment, supplies, and operational workflows.
  • Support the implementation of ShipHero, scanners, printers, location labels, carrier systems, and other warehouse technology.
  • Develop launch timelines, identify risks, and ensure the facility is operationally ready before go-live.
  • Establish clear processes for receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, returns, wholesale, and value-added services.

2. Daily Operational Leadership
  • Own the day-to-day performance of the fulfillment center.
  • Ensure on-time outbound shipping, accurate picking and packing, and timely inbound processing.
  • Run daily huddles to review volume, labor requirements, priorities, bottlenecks, and expected throughput.
  • Maintain compliance with SOPs, scan-based workflows, and WMS requirements.
  • Monitor KPIs including orders per hour, items per hour, dock-to-stock time, inventory accuracy, SLA performance, labor efficiency, and fulfillment quality.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect clients or service levels.

3. Staffing and Labor Management
  • Hire, onboard, schedule, train, and manage the Groveport warehouse team.
  • Build an effective leadership structure as the site grows, including operational leads and supervisors.
  • Align daily staffing with order and inbound forecasts.
  • Maintain control over overtime and temporary labor costs.
  • Manage attendance, performance, productivity, and workplace standards.
  • Build a disciplined and positive team culture based on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

4. Inventory Accuracy and Control
  • Own full-site inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, recounts, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure pick faces, bulk storage, overstock, receiving areas, and staging locations remain accurate and organized.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, mis-picks, missing units, and location errors.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Lead physical inventory preparation, execution, and reconciliation.

5. Safety and Facility Standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA requirements, company policies, equipment procedures, and emergency plans.
  • Maintain clear aisles, exits, staging areas, and workstations.
  • Ensure forklift and equipment operators are properly trained and authorized.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and promptly address identified risks.
  • Coordinate facility services, maintenance, security, waste removal, and equipment repairs.

6. Throughput and Continuous Improvement
  • Forecast daily and weekly volumes and allocate labor accordingly.
  • Identify workflow gaps and implement practical improvements.
  • Improve slotting, pick paths, replenishment, packaging methods, dock flow, and workstation layouts.
  • Track productivity against targets and create improvement plans where required.
  • Prepare the operation for increasing volume, additional clients, and new service lines.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on improvements across the broader 247 Fulfillment network.

7. Client Launches and Communication
  • Support the onboarding of new clients into the Groveport facility.
  • Coordinate inbound scheduling, storage setup, SKU slotting, packaging requirements, and workflow design.
  • Work with client support teams to resolve operational issues and escalations.
  • Represent the Groveport site during client calls, warehouse tours, and operational reviews.
  • Ensure client requirements are clearly documented and consistently followed.

8. Reporting and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide regular updates on site performance, staffing, capacity, risks, and improvement initiatives.
  • Report on KPIs, SLA adherence, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, and quality.
  • Work closely with company leadership, finance, client support, technology, and carrier partners.
  • Escalate risks early and provide clear recommended solutions.
  • Ensure site priorities remain aligned with the company’s broader growth strategy.

Qualifications
  • At least 3–7 years of warehouse leadership experience, preferably within a 3PL, eCommerce fulfillment, distribution, or high-volume logistics environment.
  • Experience managing hourly warehouse teams, supervisors, schedules, productivity, and performance.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and warehouse safety.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system; ShipHero experience is an asset.
  • Comfortable using operational data and KPIs to make decisions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to build structure, enforce standards, and maintain accountability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where priorities and responsibilities evolve.
  • Previous experience opening a new warehouse or scaling a growing facility is a strong asset.

What Makes This Role Unique

This is an opportunity to help build 247 Fulfillment’s new Groveport operation from the ground up.

The Site Manager will have meaningful ownership over the facility’s layout, team, processes, culture, and performance. As 247 Fulfillment expands throughout the United States, the scope of this role can grow to include larger teams, more complex client portfolios, new service lines, and broader regional responsibility.

If you want to build a high-performing fulfillment operation, take full ownership of a site, and contribute to a rapidly growing North American logistics network, this role is for you.
