Job description

The Resident Care Manager performs resident health assessments; provides training/oversight to staff for medication supervision, monitors the status of resident general conditions, as allowed by regulation; coordinates resident care with third-party providers such as physicians and home health agencies and companion services in conjunction with the family.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides care following established nursing service objectives and standards
  • Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
  • Distributes and documents medications (including narcotics) according to established standards and regulations
  • Responds to emergency situations
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Communicates with resident and families regarding treatment and care
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

Education & Experience:
  • Diploma in Nursing at a minimum
  • Current nursing (RN/LPN/LVN) licensure issued by appropriate state licensing agency
  • Two years of relevant experience required
  • At least one certification from an accredited organization (or is actively pursuing certification)
